This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information in connection with www.paradisetutorsnaples.com, other websites expressly displaying this policy, inquiries, scheduling, enrollment, communications, payments, and our services.
“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be associated with an individual or household, as defined by applicable law.
This policy explains our information practices. It does not, by itself, constitute consent to processing for which separate consent is required, waive privacy rights, or replace additional notices required for a particular activity.

[CONFIRM THE TECHNICAL INFORMATION ACTUALLY COLLECTED AND REMOVE CATEGORIES THAT DO NOT APPLY.]
We request information reasonably relevant to our operations and the services sought. You may decline to provide requested information, although some information is necessary to respond to an inquiry, arrange services, or process payment.
3. Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information from:
(a) you, when you contact us, complete forms, provide materials, make payments, or participate in services;
(b) students, parents, guardians, and other authorized individuals involved in an engagement;
(c) providers supporting our website, scheduling, communications, payments, and other operations; and
(d) browsers and devices interacting with our website, as described in this policy.
When you provide information about another individual, you should have appropriate authority to provide it. Providing another person’s information does not automatically authorize every subsequent use or disclosure.
4. How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information as reasonably necessary to:
(a) respond to inquiries and explain available services;
(b) assess service needs, administer enrollment, and arrange appointments;
(c) provide tutoring, test preparation, college consulting, and related assistance;

(e) communicate about appointments, assignments, services, and administrative matters;
(f) process authorized payments, issue invoices, and maintain accounting records;

(k) prevent or investigate fraud, misuse, security incidents, or unlawful conduct; and
(l) comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where applicable law requires consent for a particular activity, we obtain that consent separately. Acceptance of a services agreement is not treated as unlimited authorization for unrelated uses of personal information.
5. Platforms and Service Providers
We use third-party platforms to support our operations. Information disclosed to a provider depends on the function performed and the features used.
Squarespace — Website Hosting and Forms
Our website is hosted through Squarespace. Squarespace processes information necessary to deliver, operate, secure, and maintain the website.
Depending on the features and settings enabled, this may include IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, referring websites, access times, and information submitted through website forms.
We use website submissions to respond to inquiries, administer enrollment, and provide requested services. Squarespace’s processing is also described in its applicable privacy and cookie policies.
Acuity Scheduling — Appointment Scheduling
We use Acuity Scheduling to arrange and administer appointments.
Depending on the appointment and information requested, scheduling records may include names, contact information, appointment types, availability, intake-form responses, and scheduling communications.
We use this information to manage bookings, communicate about appointments, and prepare for requested services.
Stripe — Payment Processing
We use Stripe to process payments.
Information involved in payment processing may include payer and billing details, payment credentials, transaction amounts, payment status, and information used for fraud prevention.
Our collection, access, and retention of payment information are addressed in Section 7.
Zoom — Video Conferencing
We use Zoom to conduct remote tutoring, consulting, and other meetings.
Information processed in connection with a session may include participant names, account or contact information, meeting details, audio, video, chat messages, shared documents, and screen-shared content, depending on the features used.
Recording, transcription, and AI-assisted meeting features, if used, are addressed in Section 9.
ChatGPT — AI-Assisted Work
We use ChatGPT, provided by OpenAI, to assist with activities such as preparing educational materials, developing explanations and practice questions, brainstorming, reviewing and editing text, organizing information, and supporting administrative work.
When relevant to the requested assistance, information submitted to ChatGPT may include student work, essay drafts, application materials, questions, and related information provided during an engagement. These materials may contain personal information.
OpenAI processes submitted content and related information according to the applicable product terms, privacy policy, account settings, and data controls.
AI-generated material may contain inaccuracies or omissions. Company remains responsible for exercising professional judgment and reviewing AI-assisted work as appropriate to the agreed services.
Use of AI does not override institutional rules concerning student authorship or permitted assistance, or excuse Company from its contractual obligations.
Where applicable law requires separate notice or consent before information is processed through an AI tool, Company will provide that notice and obtain the required consent.
Other Operational Providers
We may also use providers for email, document storage and collaboration, accounting, technical support, and other operational functions.
Provider access is limited to the information reasonably needed for the relevant purposes and is subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements. Where a provider processes information for its own purposes, its privacy notice describes those practices.
6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar technologies may include pixels, local storage, scripts, and identifiers used by embedded services.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies through Squarespace and integrated services.
Functional technologies support website operation, security, and visitor preferences. Where enabled, analytics technologies help us understand how visitors find and interact with the website, including which pages they visit.
Your Cookie Choices
You can manage or block certain cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality. Deleting cookies may remove saved preferences and require you to make choices again.
Browser controls do not necessarily prevent all collection of technical or usage information.
Where applicable law requires prior consent for optional technologies, we obtain the required consent before activating those technologies.
Third-Party Tracking
Embedded scheduling, payment, video, social, or other third-party features may process information when loaded or used, depending on their configuration.
7. Payment Information and Stored Payment Methods
We use Stripe to process payments. Payment information is used to process authorized transactions, administer billing, prevent fraud, and resolve payment-related issues.
Where you authorize a payment method to remain on file, it may be used only in accordance with your payment authorization and applicable law. Permission to maintain a payment method does not independently authorize unspecified purchases or unrelated uses of payment information.
To revoke authorization for future charges, contact info@paradisetutors.com. Revocation does not eliminate payment obligations already incurred.
Invoices, transaction histories, and authorization records may be retained as reasonably necessary for accounting, legal compliance, and resolving disputes.
Do not send payment card numbers or security codes through ordinary email, scheduling notes, meeting chat, or general inquiry messages.
8. Other Disclosures of Personal Information
In addition to the providers described above, we may disclose information in the following circumstances:
Authorized Personnel and Advisers
Information may be available to authorized tutors, personnel, accountants, attorneys, insurers, and other professional advisers as reasonably necessary for their responsibilities.
Parents, Guardians, and Authorized Contacts
We communicate student information with parents, guardians, and other contacts where authorized or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
Payment by another individual does not, by itself, authorize unrestricted disclosure of an adult student’s information.
Schools, Testing Organizations, and Application Platforms
We disclose information to institutions or platforms when authorized in connection with requested services or otherwise legally permitted or required.
Legal and Protective Purposes
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect individuals or systems, investigate suspected unlawful conduct, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Business Transactions
Information may be disclosed in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections and applicable law.
Such a transaction does not eliminate applicable restrictions on the use of personal information.
At Your Direction
We may disclose information when you specifically request or authorize the disclosure.
9. Student Materials, Recordings, and Transcripts
Educational materials may contain sensitive or personal information. Please provide only information reasonably necessary for requested assistance.
We use student work and related information for the purposes described in this policy. Marketing use of identifiable student work, images, testimonials, or results requires separate appropriate authorization.
Where recording, transcription, or another processing activity requires consent, we obtain that consent before beginning the activity.
If services are provided under an agreement with a school or another institution, additional legal or contractual restrictions may apply. Nothing in this policy reduces those obligations.
10. Children’s Privacy
Enrollment and purchasing arrangements must be completed by an adult with the necessary authority.
Parents and guardians may contact info@paradisetutors.com with questions about information relating to their child or to request review, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable law and appropriate verification.
If we learn that information has been collected from a child in circumstances requiring parental consent that was not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to stop unauthorized processing and delete the information or obtain legally sufficient authorization, as applicable.
A parent’s enrollment of a child does not automatically constitute consent to every use or disclosure of the child’s information.
11. Marketing and Communication Choices
You may opt out of promotional email by using the unsubscribe mechanism included in the message or contacting info@paradisetutors.com.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent necessary communications concerning active services, appointments, payments, security, or legal matters.
Providing a telephone number for scheduling does not, by itself, constitute consent to unrelated marketing messages.
We handle requests concerning communications in accordance with applicable law.
12. Retention
We retain personal information for the period reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose, considering the nature of the information, the duration of the relationship, applicable legal and accounting obligations, dispute-resolution needs, and retention restrictions.
When retention is no longer justified, we delete or deidentify information using appropriate methods. Backup copies may remain for a limited period according to applicable backup cycles and remain subject to appropriate safeguards.
A deletion request may be subject to lawful exceptions, but does not authorize indefinite retention.
13. Information Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards reasonably appropriate to the information processed and the associated risks.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. This statement does not limit security obligations or remedies imposed by applicable law.
Please contact info@paradisetutors.com promptly if you believe information associated with our services has been accessed or disclosed without authorization.
14. Privacy Requests and Individual Rights
You may contact info@paradisetutors.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have provided.
Depending on your location, applicable law, and whether that law applies to our processing, you may also have rights to:
(a) receive information about collection, use, and disclosure;
(b) obtain a copy of information in a portable format;
(c) withdraw consent where processing relies on consent;
(d) object to or restrict certain processing;
(e) opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling; and
(f) appeal a denied request or complain to an appropriate regulator.
These rights may be subject to exceptions and verification requirements. Not every statutory right listed applies to every individual or processing activity.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, subject to appropriate verification.
We respond within the period required by applicable law. If we cannot fulfill a request, we explain the basis and any available appeal procedure as required.
We will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising privacy rights.
15. California and Other State Disclosures
The categories of information collected, sources, purposes, disclosures, and available choices are described in this policy.
California’s website privacy requirements and the California Consumer Privacy Act have different applicability rules. Other state privacy laws may impose additional obligations depending on the circumstances.
Nothing in this policy limits rights provided by applicable state law.
16. International Processing
Company is based in the United States. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those in your location. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we implement the required safeguards.
Merely visiting the website or submitting information is not treated as consent replacing a legally required transfer mechanism.
17. Third-Party Websites and Features
Our website and communications may link to or incorporate third-party services. Their independent information practices may be governed by their own privacy notices.
Review those notices before providing information directly to third parties.
A link or integration does not remove Company’s responsibility for its own processing or its obligations concerning providers it selects.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or applicable requirements. The “Last Updated” date identifies the current version.
For material changes, we will provide a reasonably conspicuous website notice or direct notification where appropriate or required.
If a change requires consent, we will obtain that consent before applying the new practice. Posting a revised policy does not, by itself, authorize a materially different use requiring consent.
